“A Taste of Romance”
In 2022 ontwierp Hieke Meppelink het jubileumsculptuur voor Galerie Honingen, getiteld “The Kingfisher”. Daarna ontwierp ze “Winterkoninkjes” en nu is daar het derde ontwerp in de serie Birds in Art Collection: “A Taste of Romance”. Ditmaal spelen twee Staartmezen de hoofdrol. Dit koppel kijkt verlekkerd naar de rode besjes, én elkaar. Staartmezen zijn zangvogels, wat natuurlijk een verwijzing is naar de sopraan carrière van Hieke Meppelink.
